Safe Harbor
A serene evening scene in St. Augustine. (I like to make rhymes at times with captions of mine.)
Florida Prairie Sunset
I just got back from spending some time in the wilderness away from everything including cell phone service, the internet, electricity, plumbing, etc. Nothing but nature and my cameras to amuse myself with. The first evening there I hiked out into a large prairie area at sunset and captured this lovely subdued sky scene before returning to camp.
Color Convergence
I was driving home the other night and as I crossed the railroad tracks by my house I spotted this out my window. I stopped at the red light just over the tracks and grabbed a camera from my bag while waiting for the light to turn green. With camera in hand I circled back around the block to the tracks. As I drove over them again I fired off this shot.
December Evening
On Monday afternoon I was out on a ranch photographing an equestrian event. I shot this as I was bumping along across the fields in the back of a pickup truck after the event had ended. It wasn’t really this dark when I shot it but I deliberately underexposed the scene to bring out the colors and the detail in the sky. I also needed the high shutter speed that created the underexposure to counteract the bumpy ride.
The Sun Goes Down Alone
A chilly December evening and there was no one at the beach to see the sun set except me.
